Big changes are coming to IOTA Heroes! Dive into new adventure types that add depth and strategy to the game, offering tailored goals and rewards. We're also thrilled to announce a liquidity collaboration with Velocimeter and the IOTA bootstrapping initiative, ensuring a stronger market for IOTA Heroes Gold. To support sustainability and grow the economy, the Adventure Fee is increasing to 0.8 IOTA, raising the baseline value of Gold and items. Finally, new Non-Combat Modifiers like Greed, Scavenge, Prospect, and Mysticism give you more control over your loot.

Since the very first alpha test, adventurers have chosen between Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulties. But it’s time to shake things up! With this update, we’re introducing new adventure types that let you tailor your journey to specific goals.
In addition, we’re thrilled to announce our liquidity collaboration with Velocimeter and the IOTA bootstrapping initiative. This initiative ensures better liquidity for IOTA Heroes Gold and introduces exciting new incentives for players.

New Adventures
Gone are the days of simply choosing Easy, Medium, or Hard adventures. Now, you’ll need to think strategically about your objectives and select the best-suited adventure type! While the difficulty groupings and monsters remain the same, the rewards are now more nuanced.
Why the change?
Previously, many players aimed to build heroes capable of conquering hard adventures to maximize Gold earnings. While this is still a valid strategy, we believe that the most lucrative adventures shouldn’t also yield the highest rewards for every asset type.
For example, consistently running hard adventures could leave you low on gear and abilities. To replenish those, you’d need to embark on different types of adventures or trade with other players on the Trading Post.
This change balances the item economy, prevents oversupply, and encourages diverse gameplay strategies. Some adventures will even offer higher rewards than before, such as multiple equippable items or more Magic Dust. Explore, experiment, and discover the best strategy for YOU!
Additional Non-Combat Modifiers
We're not done with how you might affect your adventure rewards! Certainly you all know how Luck works by now. The more you bring on adventures the bigger chance you have to hit the Lucky Loot Table which contains some of the rarest items in the game! Today we're adding some more additional modifiers with the next update and they all affect your loot!
The Majestic capes you purchased for gold will have a bit of each new modifier!
Greed: Increases the amount of Gold found on adventures.
Scavenge: Boosts the chance to recover Trash during adventures.
Prospect: Enhances the number of normal and rare items found.
Mysticism: Increases chance and amount of Magic Dust earned.
These modifiers are primarily found on Rare items, replacing many existing +Luck modifiers. +Luck is now more exclusive to Mystic items.
With these new options, you can target specific loot types and farm more efficiently.
Economy Twist
Since the IOTA EVM launch, we’ve lacked incentives for liquidity provision in IOTA Heroes Gold. This has made it challenging for players to trade without experiencing large price fluctuations. That changes today!
Velocimeter Partnership
We’re partnering with Velocimeter to launch a new liquidity pool on their DEX, supported by the IOTA bootstrapping initiative.
Velocimeter is a multi-chain ve33 Automated Market Maker. Liquidity provider provide tokens to constant product liquidity pools in exchange for reward tokens. These reward tokens can be used in governance to direct the flow of emissions.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been actively buying back Gold, and we’re grateful for generous community donations—thank you! ❤️ Along with proceeds from the Sugar-Coated Egg sales, we now hold nearly 50% of the total Gold supply.
The bootstrapping initiative will match our Gold with 150,000 IOTA, creating a deep liquidity pool at a higher price point. As part of this initiative, the Adventure Fee is increasing to 0.8 IOTA, a step toward making IOTA Heroes sustainable in the long term.
But this is not all we're doing for liquidity incentives!
Liquidity Bonus Tiers
To encourage all players to provide liquidity, we’re introducing Liquidity Bonus Tiers! By adding IOTA and Gold to the pool, you’ll unlock exclusive in-game bonuses that enhance your adventuring experience.
How it works
Imagine boosting your loot with extra rewards every time your heroes venture out, all while earning a share of the pool’s attractive APR. By contributing liquidity, you’re not just helping stabilize the IOTA Heroes economy—you’re directly improving your adventures with tangible in-game perks.
When calculating your loot, the system will check the value of the IOTA side of your Liquidity Provider (LP) position. For example:
If Gold is priced at 1 IOTA, providing 100 Gold and 100 IOTA qualifies you for the first bonus tier.
As Gold’s price fluctuates, your LP position's value will adjust accordingly.
You can easily track your liquidity value, current bonus tier, and access the pool link directly from the adventuring page.
