IOTA Heroes has been in closed testing for three weeks, and we're excited to announce that we're taking it to the next level by participating in the Treasures of Shimmer! Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure in the land of Fortuvia and earn rewards for testing our game!
For those who are new to the game, IOTA Heroes is a role-playing adventure game set in a world of magic and wonder. You'll send your heroes on adventures to battle fierce monsters in search of treasures. To make sure you're up to date, take a look at our previous blogpost.
For those who participated in the closed testing, you already know what to do! Thank you so much for spending your time over the past few weeks to improve the game.

Test & Earn!
The official incentive campaign from the Tangle Ecosystem Association is a "Battle for Activity" with a reward pool of 1.3M SMR tokens!
The smart contract activity of each participating project will be measured and the reward pool will be distributed to the projects accordingly!
We hope you'll engage with our game and help us climb the ladder to earn a bunch of SMR tokens. But it's not just for us, we will be giving back 80% of the tokens we earn to you, the players!
We already have some ideas on fun ways to redistribute the booty, but we won't spill the beans just yet.
How do I join?
Since IOTA Heroes is built with smart contracts and a web frontend, you will need a browser wallet to interact with the game. We recommend installing MetaMask if you don't have it already, where you can generate a new wallet or use an existing one. However, you will need some SMR coins to make transactions, so head to the Official Testnet Faucet to get some!
After that, go to our game site and sign up by selecting a username. Then, head to the Mint page to verify your account with your Discord user and receive some test heroes. Please note that you won't be able to access the game before 3 pm CET on 03.05.2023.
Your voyage, should you choose to accept it
We want everyone to experience IOTA Heroes, which is why we've prepared a taskboard for you! As soon as you enter the game, you will see a small icon that you can click on to check your current progress towards your goals.
The list of tasks to be completed, it might be changed before sail-off!
If you complete all of these tasks, you will be eligible for rewards.

Limited Edition Artifact NFT
For all participants who complete all the tasks, you are guaranteed to receive a limited edition artifact that is only granted through this test campaign.
Rewarded to all eligible participants!
This item is an artifact that can be worn when going on adventures. You will receive this item once the game is launched on mainnet. It's an NFT and is tradable!
Golden Ticket
If you are extremely lucky, you might find a golden ticket on your adventures. Hold on to it! At the end of the test campaign, we will take a snapshot and note down all owners of golden tickets. For each ticket you find, you will be granted one Free-Mint for the Founder Hero Sale. That means you can mint a free Founder Hero at launch!
Can be redeemed for a Founder Hero at launch!
You can find more than one ticket, but to even find one, you should consider yourself really lucky, as they will have a very low drop chance. The drop chance is higher the harder monsters you encounter on your adventures!
Promo Hero raffle
All players who complete the tasks of the campaign will be entered into a raffle, and one lucky winner will receive the Pirate Promo Hero!
The pirate promo hero, this is one of the 20 unique promo heroes in IOTA Heroes.
The Promo heroes are the rarest of our NFT heroes. There are only 20 promo heroes, each with a unique theme and aesthetic. They are not stronger than other heroes, but they have a unique look.
